Eleven-year-old Yi lives with his mother in a world frozen at 3:14 p.m., constantly on the move to evade pursuers. At their temporary homes, Yi develops a fondness for a girl who is also frozen in time, visiting her secretly after his mother sleeps, longing for time to resume so they can play together. When his mother discovers his secret visits, they have a heated argument. Suddenly, Dr. Cheng and his followers locate them through the commotion. During the ensuing confrontation, Yi realizes he inadvertently stopped time when the world was on the brink of destruction. Dr. Cheng tries to kill Yi to maintain the frozen state. Yi’s mother sacrifices herself to save him. Now alone, Yi must decide whether to remain in this static world or restart time and face an uncertain future.
