Synopsis

The film depicts the events of the first Semanggi Tragedy on November 13th, 1998. Interweaving fiction with real occurrences, it incorporates footage from television reports of the Semanggi shootings. Lanang, a student activist at Atmajaya University, plans a large demonstration with his friends at the Parliament Special Session. Lanang’s mother, Mrs. Satya Graha, and her friend, Jeng Tri, support the student action by providing supplies. That day is also Novie’s birthday, and Lanang asks her to join the demonstration, followed by a celebration. However, Novie chooses to celebrate at a party. In the afternoon, the Semanggi incident occurs, and Lanang is among the 250 victims of the shootings. Novie searches for Lanang at the scene but learns from a friend that he is in the hospital.
