Synopsis

Ellaichaamy (Vijayakanth) deeply cares for his three brothers, even choosing to forgo marriage when he discovers his beloved intends to send them to a boarding house after their wedding. The brothers live with their grandmother (S. N. Lakshmi), and Ellaichaamy works tirelessly to support them, receiving their love in return. The eldest brother, Muthu (Vijayakanth), is a cook at a small restaurant. When Vellachamy learns of Muthu's affection for his childhood friend (Meena), he travels to the city to seek help from his friend (Rajiv) with a marriage proposal, only to be humiliated. Fate brings Muthu to the city, to the grand bungalow where he works as a cook. The initially arrogant and rude daughter of the house recognizes Muthu as a childhood friend and then actively pursues a marriage between them, persuading her father to agree.
