Synopsis

In rural Andhra Pradesh, poor Narasimha is abducted by a group of Naxalites led by Velu and compelled to join them. He desperately wants to earn enough money to go home to his wife Uma, daughter Chinna, and son Mohan, but Velu repeatedly delays his release. As Narasimha spends time with the group, he develops sympathy for its members, particularly Lakshmi, who was brutally assaulted by police officers. He is then pressured to prove his loyalty by assassinating an informant, which he carries out. He later participates in an attack on a school, where children are killed. Deeply disturbed by these events, Narasimha decides to escape, a choice that separates him from his family and puts him at risk of being hunted by both the Naxalites and the police.
