Synopsis

Roadrunner Records, a major American heavy metal label, celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special project. The result was a worldwide album released on October 11, 2005, called *The All-Star Sessions*. Four leading musicians – Joey Jordison of Slipknot, Matt Heafy of Trivium, Dino Cazares of Fear Factory, and Robb Flynn of Machine Head – each led teams of 57 artists from the label's history to produce 18 tracks. The ambitious project was conceived by Roadrunner UK's Mark Palmer and Roadrunner USA's Monte Conner, with Lora Richardson coordinating the album and Colin Richardson and Andy Sneap handling the mixing. *The All-Star Sessions* produced one single and music video, "The End." A DVD included with the CD features a documentary about the making of the songs, capturing the sessions of the four team captains as they created their music.
