The film explores fundamental aspects of human existence with remarkable skill, but 'Kill It and Leave This Town' can also feel drawn out and difficult to endure due to the relentlessly depressing subject matter. Films often address themes like death, desire, and loss, yet very few have approached them as completely (and combined them so dreamlike) as Wilczyński has done.
