Synopsis

In 1938, John Patton Jr. discovered an unusual skeleton – something neither animal nor human. Concerned by its implications, Patton kept the find secret. Seventy years later, his grandson Gardner confronts his grandfather's hidden past, a man he never met but whose path he now follows. When his cousin, Bart Thompson, a controversial documentary filmmaker, arrives for a film shoot, Gardner is happy to help. He soon discovers Bart isn't just making a movie; he's searching for the "discovery" their grandfather hid decades ago, hoping to prove its significance. As Gardner's doubts disappear and the mystery deepens, he drifts away from his life, including his girlfriend Kelsey. Obsessed with the adventure, Gardner becomes convinced the "discovery" might be proof of a connection to God.
