Henry Golding delivers a performance filled with feeling, yet it gets overshadowed because 'Monsoon' lacks appeal. Those involved clearly had good intentions, but the completed movie feels like an unfortunate loss of time. That doesn’t mean there’s nothing to gain from seeing it—it brings up questions about cultural identity and deserves some recognition for how it depicts a same-sex relationship.
