Synopsis

Ahmed Chaoui is an unremarkable man with a seemingly perfect life. He and his wife Anissa have shared thirteen years of quiet contentment, though they've never had children, despite wanting them. Ahmed, kind and dutiful, has always avoided pursuing a family due to his concern for Anissa's feelings. Neither of them knows if they are infertile, and they've accepted this reality. However, Ahmed's life changes when he encounters a pregnant woman who asks for his help. Unable to refuse, he's drawn into a situation involving the police and riot control. The woman accuses him of being the baby's father. Unable to disprove the claim, Ahmed faces serious consequences. He tells Anissa, who sees an opportunity and proposes they adopt the child.
