Synopsis

In this satirical comedy from writer and director Vijay Singh, Nisha, an undocumented immigrant, exploits cultural misunderstandings for personal gain. Nisha loves Yamini and wants to marry her, but their families disapprove because he is Sikh and she is Hindu. Desperate, he travels to Paris seeking work without proper documentation. He meets Fixer, a fellow recent arrival from Jamaica, who helps him start a cheap curry stand. Despite being a terrible cook, Nishan’s business is saved when Nathalie hires him as her live-in chef, unaware of the food's poor quality. He quickly becomes her boyfriend, but things get complicated when Yamini visits, and Nishan must prepare a gourmet meal for guests with discerning palates.
