The whole thing feels rather empty, though it’s hard to deny its charm. It was pleasant to see most of the actors from the 1994 version come back for this 'One Red Nose Day and a Wedding' special, notably Hugh Grant and Rowan Atkinson. Lily James is welcome as well. There are some enjoyable references sprinkled throughout too.
