Synopsis

Ña Noniep tells the story of a spiritual struggle between a malevolent Marshallese sorcerer and a benevolent noniep, a fairy-like being. The conflict centers on Liki, a 13-year-old boy who dreams of attending high school in America. Following a car accident that deeply affects his father and his best friend Miko's family, Liki is targeted by Miko’s grandmother, Lijimu, a powerful black magic practitioner. Lijimu casts a spell on Liki, causing the usually gentle boy to become mentally unstable. Only the noniep can save him, but first must defeat Lijimu’s formidable power. This captivating battle unfolds before Liki's parents, Tomi and Delia, his friend Miko, and his classmates, who are helpless as he spirals into a terrifying ordeal.
