Night falls on the presidential suite of Korydallos prison. Inside her cell, "The Lady of the Lord" finishes reading her husband's diary and decides to end her hunger strike, aided by a mysterious package from someone called "The Doctor of Hunger." She switches on the television, finding a report on unemployed Greeks emigrating to Australia and an interview with Angela Merkel tedious. Finally, she wonders when her favorite TV series, "LALE! Love in Istanbul," will begin. She muses that Theodoros Kolokotronis would be astonished by the current Turkish influence, perhaps even animating his wax figure at the Vrellis Museum. All of this unfolds in a country seemingly beyond help, where the government has spent the last 30 years focused only on self-interest.
