The story follows two men—one openly gay, the other perhaps so—as they travel through the desert in a Volkswagen bus. I appreciated the film’s vintage aesthetic; however, the frequent use of close-ups was distracting and ultimately made it feel tedious. While the actors portraying the main characters delivered solid performances, the writing seemed underdeveloped.
