Synopsis

For the 2011 DVD release of "1991: The Year Punk Broke," Dave Markey assembled a 40-minute companion film from previously unreleased footage. This bonus feature was shown to select audiences before the DVD's availability. It contains a wealth of material that was not included in the main film, with some songs omitted because they were new and underdeveloped. The only song not featured in either film is "Mary-Christ." The following sources were identified: "Inhuman" (date unknown), "White Kross" (August 27, 1991, Bremen), "Orange Rolls, Angel's Spit" (August 24, 1991, Cologne), "In Bloom" (Nirvana) (September 1, 1991, Rotterdam), "Eric's Trip" (September 1, 1991, Rotterdam, with spoken intro from August 25, 1991), "Tunic" (August 27, 1991, Bremen), and "Chapel Hill" (August 27, 1991, Bremen).
