Synopsis

A year after their grandmother's death, the Zheng family prepares for memorial rites. Hwa Jia (Crowd Lu) returns from military service and joyfully reunites with Wei (Vera Yen). The following morning, Wei's parents discover them together and react strongly. Wei’s parents confront Hwa Jia's family, leading to a chaotic and comedic confrontation. Faced with this unexpected problem, Hwa Jia must find a way to protect himself and his family. A popular family series from TTV, *A Boy Named Flora A* (2017) became a major hit in Taiwan. The cast and crew are back with more family moments and humor in *Back to the Good Times* (2018), directed by Yu Ning Chu. Released during Chinese New Year, the film follows Hwa Jia, played by singer-songwriter Crowd Lu, as he navigates life after the military.
