Synopsis

A Palestinian man requests permission from Israeli authorities to lift a curfew so his son can have a wedding. The military governor agrees, but insists on attending with his officers. The groom is angered by his father’s acceptance of the condition. Women perform traditional rituals preparing the bride, while men prepare the groom. Guests arrive for the celebration. Young Arabs secretly plan acts of violence. An Israeli officer collapses from the heat and is cared for by Arab women inside. A horse escapes and races towards a minefield, prompting a joint rescue effort by soldiers and villagers. As night falls, tensions between the army and the community escalate, and the groom's frustration with his inability to fulfill his marital duties threatens his family's honor. Will reason prevail?
