Synopsis

The reign of notorious sea pirates Klaus Störtebeker and Gödeke Michels is ending. After a long drought of treasure, a laden ship appears, but Störtebeker is seriously wounded during the capture attempt, leading to a humiliating defeat for the pirates. Beyond the loss of their ship, Störtebeker is suddenly consumed by doubts about his life as a pirate and finds himself drawn to a local woman named Bille. Meanwhile, Michels' advances on Frisian Princess Okka are rejected. As the crew mutinies and Michels reaches his breaking point, they discover a remarkable weapon aboard their ship, sparking a resurgence of their former glory. However, the powerful Hanseatic League consolidates its power and weaponry, declaring war on the pirates. Störtebeker and Michels are faced with a crucial choice: embrace a life as farmers or perish as pirates.
