I found myself genuinely liking this science fiction movie from the middle of the 1990s, despite its less-than-impressive special effects. The straightforward plot appealed to me, and James Remar seemed committed to his role, even though the writing wasn’t strong. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it overall. **3.5/5**
