Those familiar with the 1980 reimagining of "Flash Gordon" will likely spot its inspiration in this production. It’s a somewhat awkwardly assembled compilation of the excellent 1936 serial, starring Buster Crabbe as the hero, attempting to protect “Dale” (Jean Rogers) from the villainous “Ming” (Charles Middleton), all while fending off the advances of Princess "Aura" (Priscilla Lawson).
