Synopsis

After escaping a captive camp, Fan Long (Liang Chaowei), a staff officer in the National Army, returns to his unit against all odds. He reunites with soldier Ading (Lin Zhiying), who also made it back, and veteran Lao Xie (Wu Mengda) takes him under his wing. Commander He (Ke Junxiong) of the National Army negotiates a peaceful resolution with the Myanmar forces, hoping for a return to normalcy. Fan Long attempts to salvage some weapons, but the Myanmar side attacks the National Army. Fan Long's efforts are crucial in helping the army break through. However, the group soon splits. Fan Long and others join the bandits, while Commander He leads the remaining soldiers to surrender to the Thai government. The exiled National Army soldiers in the Golden Triangle then fight for survival.
