Synopsis

In Tunis, winter 2010, just weeks before Ben Ali's regime falls, three close friends – Fathi, Moha, and Walid – struggle to survive in a country plagued by corruption, fear, and injustice. Moha, the oldest and a gifted musician, drowns his frustration over unfulfilled ambitions in alcohol, secretly yearning for a secret escape to Lampedusa. Walid, charming and handsome, expertly exploits a system he despises. Fathi, the youngest and most hopeful, dreams of a teaching career through a competitive exam and has recently fallen for Noura, a spirited young woman involved in underground activism. Then, a young vegetable seller's self-immolation in a poor provincial town ignites a national fire. The upheaval of this turning point in history will dramatically alter the course of each of their lives.
