Synopsis

In early 1993, Brandon Ebel, a young man from Oregon with no industry experience, identified a spark in the Southern California hardcore scene. He secured a loan from his grandfather and, with limited resources, launched an independent label that would become highly influential. The label's initial prospects were bleak, with Ebel living on a meager daily budget. However, his unwavering faith in the music propelled Tooth & Nail from a small start-up to a major success, selling over 20 million records and launching the careers of bands like MxPx, Underoath, August Burns Red, and Anberlin. *No New Kinda Story* offers an unflinching look at the label's rise, struggles, and eventual resurgence.
