Synopsis

NON PLUS ULTRAS is a comedy with social commentary. It satirizes a brief period in the lives of five hardcore fans of a Prague football club – ultras. Football dominates their lives, and they idolize their English counterparts, blindly emulating them. The group is led by Bejcak (David Novotny), a charismatic young man in his early thirties with a natural leadership quality and a penchant for using foreign words, often inappropriately. Tycka (Vladimir Dlouhy), the oldest member at forty, is a lonely figure whom Bejcak has taken under his wing. The stuttering Pejsek (Karel Zima) is obsessed with everything "English," supported by the dim-witted Potapec (Michal Novotny) and the energetic Vocko (Matej Hadek), who is always planning new mischievous pranks.
