The Yamazaki family arrives at Akikawa Station and enters a forest alive with cicadas for a mission from Chief Tamura. Armed with bug nets, they eagerly search, finding a praying mantis and then a stag beetle before a sudden shadow startles them. They eventually discover a rhinoceros beetle and celebrate together. Having accomplished their goal of bonding, they spend the day playing in the river and having a barbecue. Relaxed, the producer leads the group in a casual, honest conversation about their experiences with Unification of Japan, their fellow Yamazaki members, and their feelings for the director, rediscovering their connection as actors and as family.
