Synopsis

Two apprentices possess knowledge exceeding that of their teachers. Kasper discovers the abduction of six girls linked to the Hidan of Maukbeiangjow. He is apprenticed to Sam Trowel, a resourceful investigator known as "private pig," who receives assignments via a time-delayed self-destructing tape. Meanwhile, Prudence, a spiritualist with Christian beliefs, is an apprentice to the wizard Aph. Aph uses Vodoun rituals to inhabit corpses with demonic earth spirits or extraterrestrial entities from the Red Star galaxy. Fred and Junior capture Prudence and a zombified girl named Rosebush while an alien, learning to control Ruthie's body (a Trowel operative), holds Kasper captive, guarding someone she calls "the Prudence." The first alien summoned by Aph ultimately takes over Trowel’s body, intending to exploit Fred's safe-cracking skills to erase evidence of its arrival.
