Synopsis

Anjali Thapar (Amrita Rao), living in the U.S., is plagued by recurring dreams of a past life in India: a temple, the goddess Durga, and men on horseback with swords. Seeking answers, she and her mother consult a priest who advises a trip to India to resolve these visions, believing they relate to a previous life. Her father insists she marry a man of his choosing before going, so Anjali runs away. He alerts CBI Officer Sikander Baksh (Danny Denzongpa), who immediately begins pursuing her. While fleeing, Anjali encounters car thieves Karan and his uncle (played by Arya Babbar and Shakti Kapoor). She then embarks on a journey to uncover her past as Nandini, the lover of freedom fighter Abhay (also Arya Babbar), and the circumstances surrounding his death at the hands of Tejeshwar Singhal (Ashutosh Rana), a traitor working with the British.
