Murugan (Ashok) develops feelings for his classmate Amudha (Shruti Sharma), a girl from a wealthy family who doesn't reciprocate. When her family learns of his affection, Amudha's uncle Selvam (Riyaz Khan) attempts to kill him, leading to Murugan and his mother being exiled from their village. Heartbroken and resigned to never seeing Amudha again, Murugan moves to Chennai and works as a delivery boy. While making a delivery at a medical college, he unexpectedly encounters her. They reconnect as friends, and their friendship blossoms into love. After finishing her studies, Amudha returns to the village only to find her parents have arranged a marriage for her with Selvam. Ultimately, Murugan and Amudha are able to marry with her father's approval.
