Synopsis

Following the creation of a successful underground snuff film featuring a rape and murder of the lead actress, Brazilian Miguel returns to São Paulo posing as American director Michael Tracey. He persuades his partner Bob Channing to assemble a crew for a new movie. Attractive salaries are offered, leading to the hiring of cinema technician Edson Lima and his assistant Juarez. The cast includes stripper and prostitute Lia de Souza, former actress Taty Ibanez, aspiring actress Glória Verdi, Miss São Paulo hopeful Maria Rosa, and Sérgio Bandeira, an actor residing in a mental institution. The group assumes they are filming pornography and relocates to the town of Limeira. As Bob develops feelings for Lia, he attempts to convince Michael to abandon the snuff film and prevent her death.
