Synopsis

In Palermo, Marco, a dedicated teacher, moves from Milan to work at a reform school while hoping for a high school position. He faces challenges connecting with his unusual students and discovers their lives are much more complicated than he thought. Natale is caught in the Mafia's world, trying to escape; Mery, a strong drag queen, fights discrimination while seeking love; Pietro, physically strong but illiterate, confronts a sense of fate; and Claudio, easily influenced, learns to cope with his surroundings. As Marco gets to know his students, he questions whether real change is possible in a short time. He uses poetry, understanding, and faith in them to encourage these young people to overcome their difficulties and fight for what's right. The film follows Marco as he realizes that even slow changes can deeply affect the lives of his students.
