The stop-motion animation by Harryhausen remains consistently impressive within this movie. While I found the initial scenes set on the submarine to be particularly well done, most of the other aspects felt rather ordinary, apart from Harryhausen's contributions. It’s still something I would recommend seeing, earning a rating of 3 out of 5.
