It's a really solid film depicting World War II and the German occupation of Europe. Some of the attempts at humor felt like they went on too long; I imagine they might have been amusing when the movie was first made. The scene involving scalping seemed pointless and didn’t contribute anything meaningful to the story. Aside from those issues, it's an excellent motion picture.

It's another excellent film by Tarantino. I really think Christoph Waltz gives a remarkable performance here.

The film’s signature Tarantino style is evident, building suspense through extended conversations punctuated by sudden moments of brutality; certain sections felt a bit drawn out and perhaps could have been trimmed. The cast featuring performers from France and Germany is noteworthy, with Waltz delivering an especially memorable performance. 8/10

Having watched this again since its Blu-ray release in 2009, I can confirm that it remains a strong war thriller exhibiting Tarantino’s signature style—particularly his dialogue and fondness for feet.
