The writing, directing, cinematography, and acting—particularly from the young actors—are all well done. This narrative concerning bullying and difficult family situations has potential, but falls short due to its overtness and predictability; it feels almost contrived. I’m finding that I'm appreciating it more as I begin to grasp aspects of Scandinavian culture and the challenges faced within it.
