It felt as though the filmmakers exerted too much effort in attempting to create a successful product. There was an impression that they were striving for excessive charm in the second installment. Furthermore, the sheer number of penguins present made it difficult to distinguish between them.

This film didn’t quite live up to the original, in my opinion. The musical numbers weren't as strong either. While I found Eric appealing, my disappointment with his character’s interactions with Mumble seems to have colored my overall impression.
