This sequel manages to capture the enjoyable aspects that were missing from the initial film. Calling it "good" might be an overstatement, but it's certainly a step in the right direction for the franchise; unlike the first _Ghoulies_, I found myself genuinely entertained. _Final rating:★★★ - I liked it.
