The movie certainly offers an appealing visual style, however, I’m not sure there's much substance beyond that. It presents itself as a story about various spices coexisting—with the exception of fish, which are just decorative and silent. This narrative feels disconnected from real-world events in Europe over the past ten years, though perhaps its straightforward message is contributing to the generally favorable reception it’s received. It's possible that the film intends to convey a lesson about climate change; however, we're already familiar with this issue, and few people significantly alter their behavior as a result, something this movie isn't likely to change either. Ultimately, what remains is similar to watching someone play through a computer game on YouTube. While I can acknowledge the effort put into its creation, it proves to be an ultimately superficial experience.
