The film Elemental might feel familiar and follow a conventional path, but its depth of themes and genuinely touching characters left me moved, even bringing tears to my eyes. It's a visually impressive romance between beings made of different elements, combined with a heartfelt exploration of finding yourself. The creation of the world is remarkable as always, and there are many striking visual cues that explain how these various elements interact. Important subjects like leaving one’s home, facing prejudice, and upholding family values are all explored. I can't grasp why people have been talking about Pixar declining, especially after seeing this film. I plan to keep appreciating their narratives, and I suggest others do too, setting aside any need to constantly measure it against past works. Rating: A-
