This movie was a real treat! I really enjoyed watching 'Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves'. I’m familiar with the basic concept of the role-playing game it’s based on, but I haven’t actually played or seen anything related to it, so I can’t say how faithful it is. However, as a film, it delivered exactly what I was hoping for. It's refreshing to see fantasy adventure movies like this, and I thought it did an impressive job of creating its world. The music is also fantastic—as you’d expect from Lorne Balfe—and there's a great song during the end credits. A runtime of around 134 minutes could have been a problem, but I think it’s actually perfect—it felt like it went by quickly. The actors are all excellent! I'm a fan of Chris Pine, largely because of 'Unstoppable' with Denzel Washington, and he’s believable in this role. I recall seeing some trailers a while ago and initially thinking the cast didn’t seem very engaged, but I was mistaken! Michelle Rodriguez is wonderful too; that wasn't really surprising considering her portrayal of Letty Ortiz. Justice Smith and Sophia Lillis both add to the film’s strengths, as do Hugh Grant and Regé-Jean Page. Even Bradley Cooper made a memorable impression in a small part. I almost gave it a higher rating—that's how much I liked it. It’s a quality movie that I hope gets a sequel.
