This film, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, ranks among the strongest fantasy movies in recent memory. Chris Pine stands out as a key player within a wonderfully likable ensemble cast, and their easy rapport makes the humorous parts genuinely funny—the sequence set in a graveyard is particularly memorable and likely to be watched repeatedly. It’s an adventure film at its finest, delivering action with imaginative touches and impressive visual effects alongside a great musical score. So far this year, it's been one of the most entertaining and unexpected trips to the cinema I've had. It’s hard not to suggest seeing it, regardless of your usual taste in movies. Rating: B+
