I honestly didn’t see this one coming; it completely surprised me. It's about a police officer—or maybe a judicial figure—set in a futuristic world, full of intense action and memorable personalities. I went in expecting to dislike the character Dredd, but that definitely didn’t happen.

This film has earned my favor to a greater degree than the Sylvester Stallone picture. The deliberate slow-motion sequences are well done, and it presents a solid narrative within the action genre.
