It's a shame I missed seeing this movie when I was younger; experiencing it now doesn't give me that familiar feeling of childhood fright. There are films from my youth that I still can't quite explain why they managed to scare me so much, and hold onto a spot in my memory. Watching *Zoltan* for the first time as an adult is just unpleasant. It’s a truly terrible film; it feels like the filmmakers took the Dracula name and dragged it through something disgusting. Very little actually occurs—a man and his dog are startled by an explosion, they search for the last of Dracula's family and locate him in contemporary America. There's a lot of standing around and talking, dogs appearing and disappearing, barking frequently, Zoltan’s eyes glowing, and a camping trip being spoiled. That’s it! I don’t want to make fun of or criticize anyone who has those fond childhood memories associated with this movie; I have my own. But for those without that connection to *Zoltan*'s nostalgia? Avoid it entirely. 2/10
