It’s easy to see how this film might have inspired Francis Ford Coppola's take on the story, and understandably so. Given the number of Dracula adaptations out there, this one manages to capture the essential feelings and build suspense effectively, even if it doesn’t adhere perfectly to the novel. The performances are excellent, and despite some effects looking dated now, it remains an enjoyable film.
