This is among Cuba Gooding Jr.'s least impressive projects, based on my experience with his filmography. The storyline lacks intelligence and excitement, and the performances aren't particularly good; even Gooding Jr. offers a somewhat uneven portrayal where his character feels fleeting. Actors such as Jon Seda and Omar Epps don’t get to do much of value either.
