Oldman’s portrayal of Churchill was really excellent.

Experiencing this film at TIFF on a large screen was fantastic. Every performer is excellent; there wasn't anyone who didn’t deliver. I appreciated how the visuals captured the somber mood that people living through the start of a war would have experienced. Definitely recommend it, as it effectively conveys the atmosphere and setting of the period.

It’s baffling to me why there’s so much praise for this movie; frankly, it wasn't very good. I think it might be Gary Oldman’s least impressive work yet, and the visuals were just awful. A film like *Churchill*, starring Brian Cox, handles the same topic in a significantly better way.
