Soon-cheol, a new university student, befriends Byeong-tae in the philosophy department. Both young men are dealing with difficult circumstances: Soon-cheol is secretly attending university to fulfill his sister's wish and help their widowed father, while Byeong-tae is struggling with confidence after a humiliating appearance in a beauty contest. Their lives are further complicated by the sudden death of Soon-cheol’s father in a train accident. Despite these challenges, Soon-cheol keeps his deception from his friends. However, when they discover the truth, they encourage him to run in the school marathon representing the philosophy department. Alongside Byeong-tae, Soon-cheol confronts the race, illustrating their path toward self-discovery and acceptance. The film explores themes of friendship, family, and resilience, offering a moving and uplifting story.
