Synopsis

In a secluded mountain community, twelve-year-old Jennie faces difficult circumstances within a long-held tradition of child marriage. Surrounded by a culture that accepts this practice, she finds support in Miss Carol, her schoolteacher, who has returned from her education determined to challenge the custom and protect girls like Jennie. As Jennie’s future is threatened, she must navigate this dangerous situation while Miss Carol bravely opposes cultural expectations.
