The film *Changeling*, released in 2008, is a strong offering. Angelina Jolie’s performance as the lead is outstanding, and the storyline manages to be both disturbing and intensely frustrating – it succeeds in clearly establishing who the bad guys are. The acting overall is very good, with Jolie leading an impressive ensemble. While no one quite reaches her level of skill, John Malkovich, Michael Kelly, Jeffrey Donovan, and Geoff Pierson all deliver solid performances; young actor Eddie Alderson also stands out. I was surprised by how swiftly the narrative concluded, but the film’s length of 142 minutes is actually a strength. Even at that duration, I thought the courtroom scenes could have been extended, although doing so might have slowed things down, and it's not really something I would fault the movie for. It’s definitely one I’d suggest seeing.
