Synopsis

Two travelers, Boualem and Sekfali, journey through a harsh desert, their contrasting perspectives and complicated histories shaping their path. Sekfali's cart holds the objects of his past – books, photos, relics, and memories – highlighting their differing views on life. Boualem, influenced by his childhood during Algeria's war, believes socialism offers salvation and strives to build a socialist society. Sekfali, however, rejects socialism as wrong and believes people are incapable of responsibility, needing only direct orders from a leader. Their journey is tense, with their conflicting viewpoints clashing against the desert landscape. The film explores how past experiences define one's outlook, leading to disagreements. Ultimately, the destination is less important than the self-discovery and understanding gained during this difficult journey through time and space.
