I appreciate the effort that went into recreating the look and feel of the seventies and eighties, and Burt Reynolds gives a noteworthy performance; however, I didn’t find it particularly captivating. The beginning and ending were quite strong, but the central portion felt unfocused and wandered aimlessly. The different storylines involving the characters didn't seem to coalesce effectively—it reminded me of *Magnolia*, which I enjoyed immensely—and I believe trimming roughly fifteen to twenty minutes would have improved things. Nevertheless, it’s probably worth seeing. **3.25/5**
