Synopsis

Environmental Protection Agency inspector Steve Malone investigates a remote military base for toxic contamination, bringing his wife and teenage daughter, Marti, along for a family trip. There, Marti befriends Jean Platt, the general's daughter, and grows increasingly concerned by strange behavior among the base's residents. Marti suspects a sinister force is affecting the community, particularly Jean, who seems detached. Her investigation reveals evidence suggesting the base's inhabitants are being replaced by alien plant-like creatures with a hidden purpose. The film explores themes of trust and paranoia as Marti tries to expose the truth and protect her family from this unseen threat.
